Team Overview:

Encore is a Continental European open-ended real estate fund investing in direct property with a GAV of c.3.3bn. The Encore Fund Management team is responsible for fund performance coordinating asset business plans investor reporting and presentations (including sustainability) and as liaison with all the other departments of the business raising capital and dealing with debt solutions. Whilst the role advertised is largely internally facing it involves close collaboration and teamwork with the Asset Management Acquisition Sustainability Investor Relations Finance and Financing teams across all of the European and occasionally the global offices.

Role and Accountabilities:

The role is focused on Fund financial and sustainability performance and analysis working closely with teams across the LaSalle business including reporting and cashflow modelling responsibilities. The role will involve critical thinking and using multiple data sources to deliver accurate information to support investor requirements or recommendations that enhance the returns of a growing pan-European Real Estate portfolio invested across property sectors.

The successful candidate will ideally have previous direct Real Estate experience must have excellent analytical and communication skills exceptional attention to detail and be fluent in English. Proficiency in either French German or Spanish will be considered positively. Numerical and data management skills are key for this role including strong proficiency in Excel. The ability to organise and synthesise data into clear presentations using PowerPoint and other tools is essential. A passion for sustainability and using data to inform decarbonisation initiatives is required. The role also will provide opportunities to be involved in ad-hoc projects strategy work support property acquisitions and business development initiatives. The role is collaborative by nature and engages with wide variety of real estate investment topics whilst working in an international team across Europe.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Investor Reporting

  • Fund property and sustainability performance analysis

  • Updating monthly/quarterly/annual reports and Fund databases using data and forecasts to support decision making

  • Preparation of property cashflows in Argus and Excel to calculate and analyse Property performance

  • Coordination and review of property budget and asset business plans (leasing sustainability works)

  • Assistance with property valuation and scenario analysis

  • Assistance in the preparation of sensitivity analysis of lease proposals and works projects to support strategic asset management decisions

  • Collaboration across teams (Financing Finance Investor relations and Transactions)

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Strong interest in real estate markets

  • Previous capital markets experience: 1 - 3 years of relevant experience which may include intern positions

  • Fluent in English

  • Notions of performance measurement and financial statements

  • A strong interest in sustainability and an understanding of the links between sustainability and financial performance

  • Strong analytical ability and attention to detail

  • Desire to create constructive change and operational improvements throughout the fund

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of the European team in a proactive reactive and accountable manner

  • Excellent multi-tasking skills and willingness to complete a variety of projects simultaneously

  • Excellent IT-skills (Excel PowerPoint Word) and ability to adapt to a digital working environment through adoption of new systems and willingness to create efficiencies through technology

  • Valuation experience is desirable

  • Ability to travel to other European LaSalle offices and assets held by the Fund
