We are seeking a part-time professor to teach SED1513: Introduction to Engineering and its Impact on Society for students in the Bachelor of Multidisciplinary Design program at the Faculty of Engineering School of Engineering Design and Teaching Innovation University of Ottawa. This course delivered in French provides a broad introduction to the nature of engineering and examines its ethical societal and environmental implications as well as the roles of different engineering disciplines in addressing major societal challenges.Posting limited to:

Masters degree or higher in Engineering Engineering Education or a related field
Fluency in French (written and spoken)
Proven teaching experience at the post-secondary level
Strong understanding of engineering disciplines ethics and the societal and
environmental impacts of technology
Ability to foster interdisciplinary thinking and collaboration among students
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary teaching or research
Familiarity with engineering ethics sustainability or the societal impacts of technology
Experience leading discussions or projects on grand challenges in engineering and society
Please note that this position requires teaching in French.

Part-Time
