Job Description
We are growing our Card Partnership business and have the opportunity to add an exceptional innovative and collaborative leader to our organization.
Summary:
Our partners are other organizations that rely on us to develop and grow a branded credit card program that will support the partners business. The Senior Manager Field Marketing will lead a team of field associates supporting a key retail partner in stores. You will be a part of a team with world-class professionals to develop test and implement strategies that ultimately impact the bottom line. And youll do it all in a collaborative environment that values your insight encourages you to take on new responsibility promotes continuous learning and rewards innovation.
This dynamic field leadership role will be responsible for achieving objectives for the organization and partner; recruiting training and managing a field-based team; and day-to-day leadership of the program.
General Responsibilities:
Drive day-to-day leadership including coaching and managing a team of associates providing strategic direction for the team managing overall performance of team budgeting expense management etc.
Develop a winning culture that rewards and recognizes associates for their contributions and reinforces Capital One values.
Prepare and deliver regular financial and performance updates to senior leadership
Develop strong relationships with our partners and influence them to reach mutually beneficial outcomes to our joint business problems
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitors products and pricing in the market served
Travel up to 75% is required for this role
Skills and Competencies:
Strategic: the candidate will have a proven track record of making holistic assessments of current state defining an end state vision and the audacity to articulate the path to get there. Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by a strong orientation towards continuous improvement given the complexity of our execution environment.
Strong communication negotiation and influencing skills: Impeccable written and oral communication credentials coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Strong judgment leadership and integrity: the candidate should be a tenacious decision maker able to bring a responsible approach to business while in a leadership position guiding execution resources.
Clear results orientation: focused on achieving both short and long-term goals. He/she should be able to drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment while overseeing multiple projects and programs concurrently.
Successful track record managing field teams including recruiting training and coaching
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or military experience
At least 5 years experience in strategic program management or analysis or at least 5 years of field or external sales experience
At least 2 years experience in retail partnerships
At least 5 years of people management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
3 years of experience in a sales leadership role

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean VA: $170800 - $194900 for Sr. Mgr Client DevelopmentCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
