Position Summary
The Banquet Manager oversees all aspects of banquet operations from planning to execution ensuring high-quality service team efficiency and guest satisfaction. This role involves managing banquet staff coordinating with various departments and maintaining standards of excellence for events of all sizes.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Oversee the planning execution and breakdown of all banquet functions
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during events
- Manage scheduling staffing and training of the banquet team
- Execute Banquet event orders (BEO); ensure all events are set up executed and broken down according to standards and timelines
- Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event evaluations
- Coordinate with the culinary sales events and operations teams to ensure flawless service
- Maintain an inventory of banquet equipment and supplies every quarter
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and timely reporting for events.
- Handle guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Enforce compliance with health safety and sanitation standards including liquor laws and company policies
- Promote a culture of hospitality teamwork and continuous improvement
- Provide profitability analysis on all banquet functions and implement cost savings and efficiency measures as necessary
- Train and lead banquet staff to ensure high service standards.
Qualifications and Skills
- 3 years of experience in banquet catering or hospitality management
- Proven leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent communication interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities
- Ability to stay composed under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
- Proficiency in event setup standards and basic AV requirements
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages a plus
- Must be at least 18 years old
