Position Summary

Join the Thermo Fisher Scientific family as a Filling Technician I in our outstanding Rockford manufacturing team. This role within the Formulation and Filling department offers you the opportunity to contribute to our world-class products and processes. Your responsibilities will include filling labeling and processing products staging raw materials cleaning laboratory hardware off-loading automated filling lines and providing support wherever needed. Youll primarily work within a cleanroom environment ensuring flawless execution of tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform filling operations according to established protocols and procedures
• Operate an assortment of semi-automated and manual filling equipment
• Use a variety of industrial equipment including fork trucks and pallet jacks
• Maintain a production environment by strictly following safety and quality guidelines
• Collaborate with teams to determine and implement process improvements
• Complete tasks on time and communicate progress efficiently
• Implement standard operating procedures successfully
• Accurately complete required manufacturing documentation under ISO9001 guidelines

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Team-oriented approach in a collaborative environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols
• Highly motivated with a willingness to learn and develop
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly 25 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 50 pounds
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple responsibilities
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Basic knowledge of the metric system
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment when required including the potential use of a full-face respirator
• Hazardous Waste Generation/Management training required within the first 30 days and annual refresher training
