Job Description

The SHE Administrator will support operational excellence in Safety Health and Environment while providing strong administrative assistance to the SHE Managers as well as the entire LDC Yorkton Processing Site including but not limited to the existing and new canola crushing operations the new pea protein isolate facility as well as ongoing construction and expansion activities.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assign training for new and existing employees within various digital platforms and onsite training providers.
  • Support with training scheduling reminders coordination organizing uploads etc. 
  • Provide administrative support with safety incidents injuries WCB reporting permit approvals (scanning tracking) etc.
  • Assist with preparation distribution and reporting of weekly Toolbox talks site-wide communications maintenance of onsite documentation (ex. Bulletin boards).
  • Support with monthly and annual reporting requirements as required (federal provincial internal LDC).
  • Issue and track PPE vouchers (ex. steel-toed boots) for new and existing employees.
  • Order and issue PPE (ex. Hardhats) for new and existing employees as required.
  • Assist with policy and procedure implementations updates distribution compliance enforcement reporting training etc.
  • Support Return to Work process in conjunction with SHE Managers HR Manager and site leadership.
  • Assist with physical demands reporting as needed for WCB requirements.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings whether for OHS SHE activities etc.
  • All other administrative tasks as assigned and required.

Qualifications :

  • Relevant post-secondary education is preferred but not required.
  • Must be certified and trained in Advanced First Aid / Medic B.
  • Must be driven to positively contribute to the strong SHE culture and uphold the high expectations and standards we have both locally and internationally for LDC within the SHE capacity.
  • Previous work experience in an office environment within industrial operations is an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel Word Outlook PowerPoint and Teams).
  • Must have excellent accuracy aptitude for numbers and analyzing data and attention to detail.
  • Previous audit exposure with a focus on safety is preferred.
  • Previous experience reporting monthly or annual KPIs is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster positive working relationships.
  • Superb communication skills (listening verbal written).
  • Able to work collaboratively and professionally with various stakeholders including but not limited to site leadership area managers and supervisors auditors other LDC employees etc.
  • Self-directed and able to perform quality work within deadlines without direct supervision.
  • Passionate about the agricultural industry.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity within the workplace.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technically proficient with the ability to learn and specialize in new software technology training systems etc.
