Administrator Ambulatory Surgery Center
Location: Athena Medtech
Reports to: Governing Board
Athena Medtech is seeking an experienced and results-driven Administrator to lead the daily operations and strategic direction of our ambulatory surgery center. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality surgical services while driving operational excellence financial performance regulatory compliance and a positive work culture. The Administrator serves as a key liaison between the Governing Board medical staff department leaders and corporate stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Operational LeadershipOversee the daily operations of the facility ensuring efficient and effective workflows across departments.
Act as a liaison between the Governing Board Medical Staff and departments.
Provide regular operational updates to the Governing Board.
Appoint an acting administrator in your absence.
Plan implement and evaluate facility services in alignment with strategic goals.
Lead monthly operations review meetings with the corporate office (USPI).
Implement and monitor the USPI EDGE operational framework and integrate it with QPI initiatives.
Ensure compliance with internal control standards and organizational policies.
Develop and manage the facilitys operating and capital budgets.
Monitor staffing plans purchasing and vendor agreements to align with fiscal goals.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies.
Review and manage contracts with external partners including ancillary services and maintenance.
Analyze market trends to set procedure pricing based on cost and competition.
Promote cross-departmental collaboration and communication.
Address and act on variances in financial performance proactively.
Lead monthly staff meetings to communicate goals and performance expectations.
Ensure fair and consistent management of exempt and non-exempt staff in accordance with policy.
Review and approve performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
Approve hiring termination and position changes.
Utilize USPI Staff Tracker to monitor productivity and adjust staffing as needed.
Oversee staff training education and development programs.
Maintain all employee records and ensure compliance with labor regulations.
Foster a culture of excellent customer service and employee engagement.
Ensure compliance of clinical programs with applicable regulatory and accrediting standards.
Work collaboratively with the Medical Director and Medical Executive Committee to assess and improve surgical services.
Oversee departments including Nursing Central Supply Medical Records and Housekeeping.
Manage contracted clinical services such as Radiology Pharmacy Lab and Biomedical Engineering.
Ensure functionality and timely maintenance of surgical and patient care equipment.
Identify and lead development of new services appropriate for an ASC setting.
Lead the implementation and management of a continuous quality improvement program.
Administer the infection control program and support medical staff review processes.
Track and correct any care quality issues; analyze operational and clinical metrics to ensure excellence.
Serve on the Quality Improvement Committee.
Manage the credentialing process for practitioners.
Collaborate with the Medical Director on updates to Medical Staff Bylaws and policies.
Serve as a liaison to physicians and promote positive professional relationships.
Assess physician and patient needs to enhance service mix and delivery efficiencies.
Represent the facility in corporate and industry administrative meetings.
Uphold the vision mission and values of Athena Medtech.
Maintain membership in relevant healthcare associations and stay informed of industry trends.
Act proactively on issues related to reimbursement compliance and healthcare legislation.
Attend all required in-service trainings and meetings.
Follow the organizations code of conduct and professional standards.
Maintain confidentiality and protect patient and employee privacy.
Communicate effectively with patients staff physicians and external partners.

Bachelors degree required; Masters degree or Nursing background preferred
Minimum 3 years of senior administrative/management experience in a surgical center or hospital setting
Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and healthcare operations
Strong financial and business acumen
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Other qualifications as determined by the Governing Board
Office-based role with frequent interaction in clinical and patient care areas
Must be able to move throughout the facility to observe and supervise staff and operations
