Eagle County Government is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our IT team. This is a single position with flexibility to hire at the I II or III level depending on experience and qualifications.

Are you passionate about protecting critical information and strengthening technological defenses Eagle County is seeking a motivated and skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our dedicated IT team.
In this role youll help monitor assess and strengthen the Countys cybersecurity posture. Responsibilities may include identifying and closing compliance gaps implementing security tools and policies leading incident response efforts and supporting a culture of security awareness. The scope of duties will scale based on the level at which the candidate is hired.

What Youll Do:
- Investigate and respond to cyber threats.
- Manage system patching and vulnerability remediation.
- Implement and monitor security tools and technologies.
- Help develop and enforce security policies and standards.
- Promote security awareness across the organization.
What Youll Bring:
- A degree in a tech-related field or equivalent experience.
- Strong analytical communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Microsoft/Google environments EDR and vulnerability management tools.
Required for All Levels:
- A Bachelors degree in a computer-related field or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
- A strong grasp of fundamental cybersecurity principles.
- Excellent problem-solving communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with Microsoft/Google environments Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools and vulnerability management systems.
Experience by Level:
- Cybersecurity Analyst I:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a technology-related field.
