The Accounting Clerk works on the Finance team to perform various accounting duties related to ensuring accurate inventory management at the Mississauga Warehouse. The performance of the duties must ensure a quality service approach to all employees customers and suppliers. All responsibilities must be performed in a manner consistent with the Farm Boy Way.
Major Responsibilities:
- Verify inbound receives against Purchase Orders.
- Verify and enter all shipments cost adjustments and quantity adjustments into the Farm Boy Warehouse management system.
- Communicate clearly with the Procurement team to resolve shipment discrepancies.
- Process invoices into Sage 300 with the correct coding as described in the general ledger.
- Reconcile the Farm Boy WMS system to the general ledger in Sage 300.
- Monitor the delivery of paperwork from warehouse employees to ensure the timely flow of documentation.
- Apply inventory cycle counts coordinate the recount process with the warehouse adjust inventory accordingly and advise the warehouse when inventory is complete.
- Spot check items on a periodic basis to ensure accurate inventory.
- Print sort and distribute intercompany shipment claims to various departments for approval processing accepted or denied claims accordingly.
- Work closely with all divisions of the Finance team to complete various tasks.
- May be requested to undertake other related duties on a periodic basis.
Qualifications :
- Typically requires completion of post-secondary education in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting plus 1-2 years of experience in an office setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong organizational and proactive problem-solving skills with superior attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a high-volume tight deadline environment.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- High respect for confidentiality.
- Well-developed computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel.
- Experience using Sage 300 is considered an asset.
