Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and independent Research Fellow (Grade 1) to contribute to the ARC Discovery Project Breaking the Cycle: Understanding Precarity in Australias Youth Workforce.

In this role youll work with a multidisciplinary team of researchers to design and conduct studies analyse complex datasets and contribute to the development of meaningful evidence-based insights about employment insecurity and its impact on young people. Youll also have the opportunity to lead your own aligned research projects and contribute to high-impact publications and policy engagement.

This is a fixed term (1.5 years) part-time (0.6FTE) position primarily based at Griffith University Gold Coast campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.

Griffith Universitys sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul Yuggera Jagera Turrbal Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.

Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be Academic Level RF1 range $88689- $103888 per annum 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $103766 - $121548 per annum.

You will also have:

  • A PhD (or equivalent research experience) in psychology organisational behaviour statistics or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in quantitative or mixed-methods research especially in large-scale multi-wave survey or mixed-methods data analysis.
  • A developing publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Strong data management and analytical skills (e.g. using software such as SPSS R or NVivo).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Your passion for impactful research and your ability to connect evidence to real-world outcomes will be key to your success in this role.
