About the team and the role:
eBay Inc. seeks Software Engineer 3 in Bellevue WA
What you will accomplish:
Job Duties: Identify issues and provide out of -the-box technical solutions for difficult software challenges with high-scale systems. Work on software development projects throughout all phases of the software development process including scoping prioritizing planning designing developing testing fixing bugs and implementing software products and acquire knowledge of the domain that is integral to rapidly growing and innovating eBays eCommerce marketplace. Develop outstanding software applications that meets the business and market requirements with respect to functionality reliability performance and scalability. Track business impact of the software features on a regular basis. Study huge data sets to make informed business decisions. Review and certify code using proven use of test automation and programming languages such as Java Python and C#. Work with technology teams engineers and research product management quality assurance and operations teams to design develop and deliver high-quality new software products and components vertically and horizontally that will evolve and grow eBays Core shipping products. Partial telecommuting may be permitted from within a commutable distance.
What you will bring:
Minimum Requirements: Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science Management Information Systems or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Special Skill Requirements:
1. Experience using data structures and design patterns
2. Experience with Oracle database
3. Design and develop RESTful web services using Java Kotlin Spring framework
4. Develop frontend service using tools/technologies such as JavaScript HTML CSS
5. Develop Unit and Integration tests using Junit Mockito and Test Driven Development (TDD)
6. Design build and test highly scalable low latency and distributed backend systems within an agile development methodology
Salary: $163862.00-205700.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including location skills and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
