Software Developer II - Search

This position is a hybrid role requiring employees to work from our headquarters location in Seattle WA or San Francisco CA every Tuesday and Wednesday and remote all other days.

Search Team is responsible for building features that empower a users home search journey. Our team develops on the Home Details Page and the Search map the two highest traffic pages for . Our full-stack team builds highly visible consumer facing UI as well as robust data ingestion pipelines and data services. By joining our team youll have a chance to work on features that get seen by millions of users and work on multiple critical platforms and services.

• Full Stack Full Ownership. We own our features from end to end. We build the pipelines to get data into databases all the way to the UI a user sees.

• Performance is critical. Because our features attract so much traffic everything we develop must meet strict performance criteria. We dictate performance initiatives and best practices for the rest of the company because we have the most expertise and experience.

The Role

• You will develop responsive resilient scalable and high-quality software using React Java AWS and various other tools/libraries.

• You will balance the trade-offs between complex infrastructure investments and quick pragmatic solutions to meet specific business needs.

• You will collaborate with other engineering and product stakeholders to define design and develop projects.

• You will mentor and guide other junior engineers

About You

• 3 years of professional full stack software development experience specifically in React and Java.

• Proven track record of designing building and maintaining scalable high-performance web applications.

• You love elegant interfaces that can tell stories and inspire trust.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment handle ambiguity and empathize with customers.

• You are eager to help us in our mission to create a fundamentally better real estate experience for our customers.

The compensation information below is provided in compliance with all applicable disclosure requirements.

Base Pay Range: $121900.00 - 190800.00. Actual base pay will depend on varying circumstances including the position location individual qualifications market finances and other operational business needs. Compensation may also include bonuses and equity.
