Minimum Qualifications
- Holds a Masters degree in education instructional technology or other related field.
- Holds a Collegiate Professional or Post Graduate Professional Virginia teaching license.
- Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience.
- Considerable knowledge of curriculum development and implementation.
- Considerable knowledge of effective and varied teaching strategies and assessment techniques.
- Ability to integrate technology into curricular areas.
- Considerable knowledge of research trends in instructional technology.
- Considerable knowledge of the use of personal computers iPads Smartboards Chrome Books video production as well as a wide variety of digital resources tools and instructional programs.
- Willing to flex work schedule at the discretion of the supervisor.
- Must have the physical ability to work effectively with students with challenging behaviors.
- Must have above average amount of repetitive hand movements (including simple grasping pushing/pulling fine manipulation) walking bending standing stooping lifting (up to 20 lbs.) kneeling reaching and crawling. Responsibilities:
- Plan manage and oversee the implementation of SECEPs online instructional applications.
- Establish an environment that encourages innovative creative and independent use of instructional technology.
- Facilitates the use of technology for data analysis and tracking student performance.
- Participate in professional growth activities that result in enhanced knowledge of best practices in instructional technology and digital learning.
- Plan prepare and deliver professional learning activities that focus on the integration of technology as well as other innovative instructional best practices to support the curriculum.
- Ensure the effective integration of the International Society of Technology of Education Standards (ISTE) and the Virginia Computer Science SOLs through the use of coaching and cooperative teaching methods.
- Collaborate with SECEP Curriculum Specialists to select implement and adapt technology to support curriculum across all content areas.
- Provide a high level of support through modeling and coaching to teachers and other school staff in the use of innovative instructional practices and supportive instructional technology that leads to improved student outcomes.
- Use effective verbal and non-verbal communication techniques and problem-solving skills to foster positive interactions between team members and lead to improved student and staff outcomes.
- Model professional moral and ethical standards as well as personal integrity in all interactions.
- Take responsibility for and participate in a meaningful and continuous process of professional development that results in the enhancement of student and staff outcomes.
- Work in a collegial and collaborative manner with peers school personnel and the community to promote and support student and staff outcomes.
- Provides service to the profession SECEP and the community.
