JOB SUMMARY:
Provide support to the Districts Special Programs ensuring these programs are in full compliance with state and federal requirements. Train and support Special Education teachers and support staff in instructional best practices to improve student outcomes across the district. Support the Districts inclusion model and continue forward trajectory. Coordinate the Districts Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Ed evaluation team and health services functions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge & Abilities: Knowledge of: Demonstrated knowledge of instructional best practices related to inclusive settings for students with low incidence disabilities; experience and knowledge of effective consultation and support for related service providers (OT PT ASD DHH and nursing supports); knowledge and experience with Early Intervention (EI) and Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE). Ability to: Demonstrated ability to: (1) work with K-12 principals and teachers; (2) work with community agencies; (3) successful experience working as a collaborative team member.
Education: Completion of a higher education Masters degree.
Certification Required: A valid teaching license issued by the Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission with a Special Education endorsement.
Certification Required: Valid Oregon State teaching and administrative credential.

Ability to read English and comprehend complex technical language. Ability to write memoranda correspondence lessons plans reports and student achievement summaries in English. Ability to effectively present information in one-to-one and small group situations.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations with a high degree of accuracy.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but basic written or oral instructions in English. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work collaboratively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers supervisor(s) staff students parents and community.

Works in a school environment. Able to use a telephone operate a computer and use other office equipment. Able to drive to other program sites and meetings.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary and work year in accordance with negotiated agreement between licensed teachers and the district.
CLASSIFICATION:
Full-timeprobationaryposition at District Office and in all schools.

Work Hours:
8 hours per day; Contract days and start date TBD based on upcoming licensed contract negotiations of 2025-2026 contract.

Salary range TBD based on upcoming licensed contract negotiations of 2025-2026 contract. (2024-2025 salary range $48741 - $100225).
