Summary
The Senior Tax Manager will be skilled and experienced in both domestic and international tax. The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the tax department ensuring compliance with local state federal and international tax laws and regulations. The Tax Manager will have a strong background in tax preparation and planning financial reporting and excellent analytical skills. This professional will play a role in strategic tax planning managing audits and minimizing tax liabilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Oversees/Prepares tax schedules returns payments and reports as .
Prepare/Review balance sheet reconciliations related to taxes.
Prepare/Review quarterly and annual international and domestic tax returns.
Maintain organized tax records and documentation.
Identify and pursue all available tax credits.
Work with the Contracts Department to review tax terms when negotiating new contracts.
Track and report tax risks and requirements on existing contracts.
Coordinate with outside consultants on complex tax matters.
Coordinate with CAE Inc Tax Team.
Develop and implement best practices for tax processes and procedures.
Provide support to the accounting close process.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelors degree in finance accounting or business-related field
10 years with of tax accounting experience to include both international and domestic tax
Advanced Skills with Microsoft Office applications
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Due to U.S. Government contract requirements only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role
Preferred Skills
CPA
Management experience
Experience with Costpoint Cognos Adaptive and Hyperion (HFM) a plus
Security Responsibilities
Must complywith all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials in any form. Shall not divulge any information or afford access to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
