Job Description
We are seeking a Principal Operating Model Subject Matter Expert to serve as the custodian of the AAOM by ensuring the model is effectively implemented that personnel are thoroughly trained that its full potential is realized and that it is reviewed as needed.
The role can be based in Santiago Lima or Belo Horizonte. There will be frequent travel required for this role.
Key role requirements:
- AAOM System: Responsible for ensuring that the AAOM process documentation training and other collateral is maintained and continuously improved to drive business results.
- Implementation and Maintenance: Ensure that the principles practices and behaviours as per the AAOM Operational Planning Work Management and Feedback are consistently applied across all operations through coaching mentoring.
- Capability Building: Ensure that the AAOM training is conducted at all levels of the organisation periodically using accredited internal/external trainers and sustained through the different capability building platforms across the organization.
- Assurance: Formally ensure that the integrity and quality of the AAOM is consistently applied through the 3 tier assurance processes in the organization and ensure that the recommended improvements are implemented.
- Continuous Improvement: Understand where improvements to the system can be made to improve effectiveness efficiency and sustainability of the model.
- Digital AAOM Tools: Collaborate with IM to ensure that the digital tools (i.e. SAP DOP DFB etc.) supporting the AAOM are aligned and effective.
- Best Practice Principles: Support the embedment of industry best practices and codify in the AAOM processes systems and routines.
Qualifications :
Formal Qualifications
Required:
- An undergraduate qualification (Bachelors / Honours degree) in Engineering.
- Lean Practioner Six Sigma Black Belt
Desirable:
- Masters Degree in Engineering
- SAP Certification.
Technical skills / knowledge requirements:
- Demonstrated Expert level understanding of the of Operating Model(s) BPF or any other PDCA based operating framework.
- Demonstrated leadership in operational roles.
- Demonstrated experience leading large multi-disciplinary technical and operational teams to deliver integrated business plans.
- Operational Excellence proficiency and ability to embed best practices.
- Demonstrated experience in change leadership data storytelling complex modelling and simulation.
- A demonstrated thought leader and considered an accomplished practitioner in the application and use of Business Improvement methodologies and Operating Models and/or similar.
- Track record of leading ideas generation; translating these into practical initiatives to be implemented and demonstration of successful execution and delivery of continuous improvement plans in mining environments and/or similar.
- Track record of successfully liaising with senior leadership teams.
- Ability to influence site teams. Influencing or getting this done without direct authority is a key skill required to be successful.
- Provides a consistent outstanding role model in relation to safety practices with a deep understanding of the importance of safety.
- Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese with proficiency in the other. Fluency in English.
