Job Description

As the Vice President of Engineering & Architecture you will be a visionary leader responsible for defining and executing the strategic direction for Toasts product and engineering initiatives. You will lead the development of innovative scalable solutions that directly contribute to our business objectives and deliver significant value to our customers. Beyond your technical acumen you will be a key driver in attracting and nurturing top-tier talent cultivating a high-performance culture and inspiring your teams to achieve exceptional results in execution innovation and overall impact.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the global architectural vision for a scalable cloud-native platform ensuring alignment with business goals and continuous improvement
- Lead attract and retain top engineering and product talent fostering a high-performance inclusive culture
- Optimize engineering efficiency and ensure timely high-quality delivery through robust practices like automation DevOps and data-driven decision-making
- Leverage AI to drive transformative automation and power new impactful customer-facing innovations
- Drive cross-functional collaboration and align technical and product strategies with overall business objectives owning key performance indicators related to product success and business impact
Requirements:
- Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing technology teams
- Deep expertise in software development cloud computing microservices & security
- Experience with generative AI tools and Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Strong ability to translate technical concepts into business value and strategic impact
- Exceptional stakeholder management leadership and communication skills
- Strong understanding of the fintech banking or payments industry is a plus
- Tech in computer science information technology or a related field; an MBA from a Tier 1 school would be a bonus
Work Mode: This role follows a hybrid work model requiring a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.
