Job Description

  • Make a lasting impact as a Program Manager leading essential alcohol and drug treatment programs in the ACT

  • Lead a small and highly skilled multidisciplinary team delivering quality evidence-based programs to support individuals impacted by alcohol and other drugs (AOD) who also have interactions with the justice system

  • Competitive salary circa $122 000 to $132 000 plus super phone laptop and great benefits including up to $15 990 salary packaging

Karralika Programs is a non-government organisation providing residential and community based treatment for individuals and their families who are impacted by alcohol and other drugs (AOD).
Operating throughout the ACT and NSW for over 45 years we provide a range of high quality evidence based programs to support our clients in learning about themselves behaviourally cognitively and emotionally to achieve and sustain positive outcomes in life.

The Opportunity

Karralika Programs is looking for aJustice Services Program Managerto lead our dedicated team in the ACT that support people through evidence-based group and individual interventions to address and reduce harms related to substance use and associated criminogenic behaviours. The Manager has the responsibility for the culture and performance of the team and the quality of services and support provided to our clients.

This role is a unique opportunity todrive service excellence enhance clinical governance and providestrong leadershipto multidisciplinary teams and will involve working within the Alexander Maconochie Centre (Canberras prison) and in the community.

More specifically your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Leading and managing multidisciplinary team including case managers and counsellors who work with clients and partner agencies
  • Overseeing program operations ensuring adherence to policies procedures and clinical governance frameworks
  • Driving continuous quality improvement embedding evidence-based practices and leading change management initiatives
  • Developing and managing partnerships collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to strengthen service delivery
  • Representing Karralika Programs in external forums contributing to strategic planning and policy development
  • Monitoring analysing and reporting on program performance ensuring service standards are met and outcomes are achieved
About You

To qualify you will need aBachelors degree in Social Work Psychology or a related field along with solid experience in management or senior clinical roles within the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) or related sector.

Additionally the following skills and background will be highly valued:

  • Experience in working therapeutically with adults children young people and families and/or experience in working with people connected to the justice system
  • Leadership and Management qualification and/or experience
  • Clinical case review and incident debrief experience
  • Strong understanding of best practice AOD treatment services including trauma-informed and family-inclusive approaches

Additionally you will have the ability to foster teamwork and promote a culture of continuous improvement while proactively managing performance resolving conflicts and driving organisational you are committed to making a positive impact in community-based alcohol and drug treatment services have values that align with Karralika and a providing a workplace where staff can learn and grow we encourage you to apply

To be considered for this role you must have:

  • A Working With Vulnerable People Check and a Police Check
  • A valid Drivers Licence; and
  • Be eligible to undertake Security Awareness Training (clearance) to work in the Alexander Maconochie Centre (AMC Canberras jail).

Remuneration and Benefits

As our Justice Services Program Manager you will receive a generous salary of $122000 - $132000 depending on qualifications and experience plus superannuation and a host of great benefits. These benefits include:
