We seek a professional knowledgeable Director of Facilitiesfor aregular full-time position. The essential responsibilities fortheDirector of Facilities may include but are not limited to the following:

Qualifications:
Education:Bachelors degree with an emphasis in the maintenance and/or construction industry preferred or any combination of equivalent education and experience that demonstrates the ability to competently perform the job.
Experience:A minimum of five (5) years of experience in facilities or construction management is highly desired. Knowledge of local state and federal building environmental and land-use planning codes and regulations pertinent to the port industry. Ability to plan and coordinate facilities modifications or relocations; establish and monitor budgets prepare and present reports. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in managing staff is required.
License/Certification: Valid unrestricted drivers license required. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Card) upon hire. Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) and/or Facilities Management Professional (FMP) credential is highly desired.
Supervisory Skills: Ability to clearly assign responsibility for tasks and decisions set clear objectives and measures monitor process progress and results and design feedback loops into work. Lays out work in a well-planned and organized manner maintains two-way dialog with
direct reports on work and results brings out the best in people and is a clear communicator. Doesnt hold back anything that needs to be said; provides current direct complete and actionable positive and corrective feedback when needed.
Analytical skills:Able to gather relevant data from appropriate sources; identify all relevant factors or restrictions; apply logical reasoning to determine relationship of variables; develop results-oriented conclusions; test assumptions observe results and incorporate revisions or corrections.
Communication Skills:College level written and verbal communications skills. Must be able to communicate effectively up down and across the entire organization clearly and succinctly in a variety of styles to get messages across that have the desired effect. The ability to develop and deliver formal presentations in a variety of settings. (i.e. one-on-one small or large groups).
Organizational skills:Able to prioritize and organize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints. Must have the capacity to balance both short- and long-term issues effectively and handle many simultaneous and often conflicting and changing priorities.
Problem solving skills: Logically think through and solve problems involving several variables. Remain objective in gathering information and investigating issues.
Computer Skills:Advanced personal computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge of Microsoft Project and AutoCAD is desirable.
