Job Title: Ag Teacher Start Date: July2025

Reports to: High School Principal Pay Scale: CISD Teacher Scale stipend (207-day contract)

School: High School

Primary Role:

Assist with directing and managing the Clifton ISD agricultural science program with emphasis in Ag Mech. Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences and provide an opportunity to participate in extracurricular ag activities. Plan activities to achieve district region and state recognition and ensure compliance with all local state and district requirements and policies.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

Bachelors degree from accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate
Demonstrated competency in agricultural science
CDL preferred or willingness to obtain

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of agricultural science and technology
Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
Ability to supervise agricultural field experiences
Ability to manage budget and personnel
Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills

Experience:

Experience as a high school teacher preferred but not required

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Assist students in selecting and managing ag mech projects.
Serve as an advisor to local FFA Chapter including planning and conducting leadership citizenship cooperative career development and competitive activities for students at local regional and state level.
