CMHA Ontario in partnership with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture Food and Agribusiness operates Agriculture Wellness Ontario (AgWO) a suite of programs that bring mental health education counselling services and enhanced community support to agricultural communities across the province.
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director Agriculture Wellness Ontario (AgWO) and as a member of management the Interim Senior Manager of Agriculture Wellness Ontario will oversee and lead the day-to-day management of assigned Agriculture Wellness Ontario programs. The Interim Senior Manager will provide management in the planning partnering organizing and scaling of program activities and is responsible for ongoing team and people management.
Core Responsibilities
- Support the Director AgWO in the development execution and advancement of a strategic vision for the AgWO Program including assisting in the strategic positioning the program within the agricultural sector while considering best practices to meet the mental health needs of Ontarios agriculture workers.
- Builds a network of relationships and establishes partnerships both internally and externally with Program partners supports engagement strategies and participates at relevant events and conferences to promote and grow brand recognition of the program.
- Maintains relationship with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture Food and Agribusiness and provincial partners and key stakeholders including providing regular updates consulting on key issues and supporting funding proposals.
- Provides day-to-day and ongoing directional people leadership to the AgWO employees: including supervision coaching performance management and collaborate with employees for their success ongoing professional development and growth.
- Actively participates in the recruitment selection and talent management of employees helping to manage vacancies and new positions.
- Works with CMHA branches to implement and promote the Program.
- In conjunction with the Monitoring and Evaluation staff oversees an evaluation strategy for the Program including working with evaluation partners to monitor evaluation results and ensure continuous quality improvement.
- Leads the production of coordinated quarterly/annual plans and reports on the Program and submits regular activity updates to the Program Director.
- Coordinates the reporting to funders including the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture Food and Agribusiness.
- Stewards donor relationships in partnership with the Director AgWO and Advancement and Corporate Partnerships Lead including providing financial and activity reports.
- Manages project plans for the Program including schedules budgets and achievement of program goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that business needs are being met including liaises with internal resource positions (e.g. Government Relations Lead etc.) to enhance the overall program quality and reach.
- Leads health equity initiatives for the Program including maintaining an up-to-date Health Equity Impact Assessment to increase accessibility and full participation for program participants.
- Manages third-party vendor contracts.
- Assists in curriculum development and revisions based on feedback from client and participant evaluations.
- Provide support to the Senior Strategic Communications Advisor - AgWO to develop materials and share activity updates with stakeholders.
- Participates in internal meetings including training opportunities as part of the CMHA Ontario team.

- Work experience in the community sector an asset.
- Familiarity with key concepts of mental health promotion health equity and social determinants of health an asset.
- Working knowledge of the mental health and addictions sector workplace mental health and the Z1003 National Standard for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace are assets.
- Bilingualism (French/English) an asset.

Salary
Hiring Rate: The anticipated range for this position is between $90000.00 and $93000.00 per annum based on skills qualifications and experience and based on a 35-hour work week.

Working Conditions
This is a full-time temporary fixed term contract (anticipated for 12-13 months) management - non-bargaining position covering for a leave of absence working standard office hours (currently 35 hours/week). This position is based in Toronto Ontario. We are currently operating within a hybrid model with colleagues working from the office 3 days/week and from home 2 days/week.
Remote work may be considered for qualified candidates who are not within a commutable distance including those without reasonable access to transit options that support travel to the office based on proximity to the office operational needs and the requirements of the role. The position may require regular travel possibly requiring an overnight stay.
This position is also a desk job with extended periods of sitting reading telephone interaction and working at the computer. This position involves some moderate lifting shipping and handling. Attendance at various meetings throughout the workday/workweek will be required; meetings may occur on short notice depending on the circumstances.
This position is not within the bargaining unit.
