Job Title: SecOps Developer

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain secure code with a focus on best practices in software development.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments on applications and infrastructure to identify security weaknesses.
• Implement security controls and measures across the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with development teams to incorporate security into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Design and conduct security training and awareness programs for developers.
• Participate in incident response efforts to mitigate and analyze security breaches.
• Perform threat modeling to identify potential threats and develop strategies to address them.
• Automate security processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual errors.
• Stay updated on the latest security trends vulnerabilities and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with compliance teams to ensure all security practices align with industry regulations.
• Review and improve existing security policies and procedures.
• Test and evaluate new security tools and technologies for implementation.
• Engage in peer code reviews with a focus on security implications.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members on security best practices.
• Contribute to building a robust security-focused culture within the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in software development preferably with a focus on security.
• Strong understanding of secure coding principles and practices.
• Knowledge of common security vulnerabilities (e.g. OWASP Top Ten).
• Experience with vulnerability assessment tools and methodologies.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python Ruby or Bash.
• Hands-on experience with DevSecOps practices and tools.
• Familiarity with cloud security concepts and tools.
• Ability to analyze and respond to security incidents efficiently.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Certification in security (CISSP CEH or similar) is a plus.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001 GDPR HIPAA) is preferred.
• Passion for cybersecurity and a continuous desire to learn and grow.
