Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead all QA and QC efforts at our Tyler TX facility. This critical leadership role involves both strategic oversight and hands-on involvement on the production floor to ensure product quality regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain quality system documentation (SOPs work instructions corrective actions).
Oversee start-up approvals in-process inspections and sample case evaluations.
Conduct color approvals for printed jobs and perform limited raw material testing.
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to waste complaints and on-time delivery.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes.
Train and support production staff on quality policies and procedures.
Report weekly on quality trends issues and improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
5 years of QA experience in packaging manufacturing or a similar production environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; able to learn quality software systems.
Skilled in using measuring tools (rulers calipers measuring tapes).
Strong documentation communication and team collaboration abilities.
Fluent in English with excellent reading comprehension and reporting skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to navigate the production floor and elevated walkways.
May require climbing stairs or ladders.
Must have close and color vision for printed product approvals.
