Lighthouse Lab Services is excited to represent an established physician owned pathology group seeking a Laboratory Sales Executive to add to their growing team!
Position Overview:
- Responsible for all sales activities from growing current business to targeting and securing new business and driving new sales growth within assigned territory.
- Works within the sales and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction revenue generation and long-term account goals aligned with company vision and values.

An established physician owned pathology group based out of Pasadena CA that is committed to delivering academic level state-of-the-art diagnostic services with a personalized touch. Led by fellowship trained pathologists the client offers full service anatomic pathology including immunohistochemistry and special staining as well as advanced molecular testing technologies for infectious disease detection. Known for rigorous quality standards and innovative protocols they have built long-standing partnerships with physicians labs and healthcare organizations.
Principle Duties And Job Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets as assigned by sales leaders.
- Manage any existing business within assigned territory while generating opportunities to grow the current customer base.
- Partner with sales leadership to define sales strategy that results in growth within the assigned territory.
- Deliver key marketing and clinical materials to customers as provided in sales training or through specific direction from an immediate supervisor.
- Ability to leverage sales CRM to manage current customer pipeline as well as move customers through the sales cycle. In addition the Account Executive is responsible for tracking sales activity within sales CRM including but not limited to: calls meetings and additional lead generation activities.
- Is expected to perform activities to generate leads such as prospecting cold calling and in person meetings. Expectation is to make 8-20 in person calls on average per month and 7-14 phone calls per day.
- Manage expenses at or below budgeted levels and always request permission in advance on expenses above per-diem or other company guidelines.
- Collaborate with influencing departments that are part of the customer sales cycle.
- Work in compliance with all applicable federal state and local laws rules and regulations.
- Comply in all respects with Companys compliance program and participate in compliance training as often as requested by Company.
- Trained and /or mentored on advanced selling skills - prospecting questioning listening qualifying prospects presentation skills rapport building objection handling persistence planning and organization.
- Ability to develop track and report progress towards a sales plan that identifies product customer and payor mix to optimize sales success.
- Coordination of key events including major sales calls involving several fellow employees regional tradeshow/meeting exhibits special event evenings including coordination of physician guest speakers.
- Communicating effectively and professionally through email text phone and other media as necessary always putting company interests above self-interests.
- Ability to self-manage time and schedule in an environment with limited supervision with special focus on achieving goals and producing results.
- Knowledge and consistent adherence to compliance requirements for medical/life science products.
- Additional duties as assigned by sales leadership.
Candidate Preferred Profile:
- Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts from an accredited institution.
- Experience in laboratory/medical/life science products or services to physicians physician offices/clinics ambulatory surgery centers and/or hospitals.
- Possess a minimum of two (2) years experience in direct sales laboratory testing services to physicians and other health care practitioners preferably in Anatomic Pathology Histopathology Cytology FISHImmunohistochemistry Molecular Testing (Infectious Disease STD Stool etc)
Compensation Structure/ Benefits/ Shift:
- Hybrid workplace in any region 40% travel to client sites
- Base Salary Range $75-95K depending on experience with estimated On-Target Earnings of $200K possible
- Monthly car allowance
- Benefits include but not limited to: Health Insurance 401K PTO and holidays
- Position may be remote or hybrid
