Job Title: Sales Support Specialist
Type: Full-time Independent Contractor
Location: Remote
Work hours: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM US Pacific Time
We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Support Specialist to play a pivotal role in supporting our sales team and creating an outstanding customer experience. As the first point of contact for many prospective customers you ll set the tone for their journey with us building trust answering questions and helping guide them toward the right solutions.
This role requires strong communication skills technical aptitude and a customer-first mindset. You ll work closely with the VP of Sales while also collaborating cross-functionally with marketing and operations to co-develop content refine processes and strengthen overall sales operations. The right candidate will not only support but also grow into handling direct sales becoming an instrumental contributor to the team s success.
Act as the first point of contact for inbound sales calls emails and inquiries delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Support the VP of Sales with lead generation qualification and follow-up.
Assist with eCommerce sales when needed.
Create simple 2D or 3D ceiling/floor plans to show heater/control layouts for commercial and residential projects.
Collaborate with the customer support team and manufacturers for product information.
Interpret technical drawings and provide accurate product recommendations.
Work with operations and marketing teams to build sales guides diagrams FAQs and other educational content.
Maintain and expand internal knowledge bases and support documentation.
Identify opportunities to improve sales processes and customer-facing workflows.
Contribute to team culture with a positive solutions-oriented mindset.
Technically proficient: Comfortable interpreting wiring diagrams and communicating with electricians or contractors.
Customer-focused: Skilled at building trust guiding customers with varying levels of technical knowledge.
Process-driven: Organized and committed to improving systems and workflows.
Clear communicator: Able to simplify complex concepts and deliver information clearly.
Positive mindset: Motivated by helping others and contributing to team success.
Goal-oriented: Driven to meet and exceed personal and team objectives.
Strong math and spatial reasoning skills (area calculations electrical basics such as watts amps x volts). Training can be provided to the right candidate.
2 4 years of experience in technical sales or a related role.
Experience working with customers electricians or contractors.
Familiarity with construction plans and drawings.
Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills.
High emotional intelligence and collaborative communication style.
Proficiency with Google Workspace CRM tools (Pipeline Deals preferred) Help Scout (or similar) and QuickBooks Desktop.
Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
