Department Summary:
The Alfred Paediatric Lung Transplant Service is a Nationally Funded Centre (NFC) Program that in partnership with Alfred Health provides a dedicated lung transplant service for children and adolescents across Australia. The service delivers highly specialised care in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment with a strong focus on best practice research and clinical innovation.
Position Summary:
This is a full-time 12-month Parental Leave cover position for a Coordinator Paediatric Lung Transplant Service. The Coordinator provides expert comprehensive clinical consultation and care across the entire spectrum of paediatric lung disease and transplantationfrom referral and assessment to transplant coordination and post-transplant management including transition to adult services. Working closely with the Head of the Paediatric Lung Transplant Service the Coordinator leads protocol development education and research activities and drives continuous quality improvement and integration of care across disciplines.
