What You Do
The Porter is responsible for managing the front desk and entry to the building performing light maintenance and cleaning duties helping maintain the curb appeal of the property monitoring issues in the building and coordinating their resolution with the board and management company and any other reasonable responsibilities for the ongoing management of the building.
- Manage and man the front desk at appropriate times.
- Manage package deliveries.
- Enable delivery services to enter the building as needed and when possible.
- Coordinate access to building premises for vendors inspectors etc.
- Monitor building security cameras if appropriate.
- Help coordinate move in and move out for residents and owners including elevator inspection and pad installation and removal.
- Keep the front steps front and back of the property free of debris and plant material with a daily sweep.
- Perform minor landscaping work to keep the planted areas free of debris and other minor landscaping tasks as needed.
- Once a week clean by sweeping vacuuming mopping wiping down and dusting the lobby desk and mail room areas first floor hallways and emptying all first-floor trash cans.
- Perform light maintenance and handyman repairs including interior and exterior painting duties when requested.
- Submit a weekly report of building issues to the board and management company.
- Ability to carry or move equipment ascend or descend a ladder or stand or sit for long periods.
- Periodic work in hazardous conditions such as outdoor duties and inclement weather.
Qualifications
This position requires a high school diploma or GED. Must be able to proficiently communicate in English; including the ability to speak read and understand English.
