Job Description
Do you love making others feel welcome
Patty Baker Humane Society Naples routinely takes calls from individuals wishing to surrender their companion animals. Because we are a limited admissions no-kill shelter we are not always able to accommodate such requests. The ability to handle potentially emotional discussions in a non-judgmental and compassionate manner is essential.
- Greet and welcome all visitors to the shelter
- Answer phones
- Accurately and professionally answer questions from the public
- Assist visitors with sign-in process
- Keep front desk area presentable and organized
- Data entry and records updates
- Receive and distribute mail and packages
- Assist with special events and outreach
- Work with and guide volunteer receptionists
- Ability to work the listed schedule
- Outgoing positive demeanor
- Excellent customer service skills in person and on the telephone
- Basic computer and tablet use skill
- Ability to learn new software; Familiarity with Gmail Microsoft Office programs and Shelterluv software preferred
- Organizational skills
- Patience
- English fluency required fluency in additional language strongly preferred
- $15.00/hr
