The Associate Operations Management reports to the Manager Operations Management and provides financial support to the Director Financial Management and the Senior Director Financial Operations.
Role Summary
Operating Expense Management: Facilitate the management of operating expenses for select LT members totaling $2M.
Cost Center Management: Maintain the global cost center hierarchy in SAP for the entire C-TIES organization.
Balanced Scorecard: Collect monthly data and update the balanced scorecard metrics used to manage the C-TIES organization.
Software Portfolio: Update the portfolio of software maintenance agreements with the latest purchase order information
Hardware Portfolio:Update the portfolio of hardware maintenance agreements with the latest purchase order information
Procure-to-Pay Process: Serve as the subject matter expert on the lifecycle of purchase orders from creation to closure.
Role Responsibilities
Operating Expense
Work with LT members and their leaders to create $2M in operating expense budgets for select LT members
Review monthly actual results and prepare variance analysis versus budget and forecast
Identify permanent and temporary favorability/unfavorability and work with teams to adjust forecasts as needed
Collaborate with teams to develop monthly forecast submissions and future year scenarios
Offer continuous financial support to teams to help them comprehend costs incurred and guide them towards the achievement of established financial targets
Review accruals for assigned LT areas to ensure that the costs of services performed and goods received are correctly accrued as per cost recognition policies
Identify changes in ongoing costs related to non-enterprise solutions to support the collection of future budget transfers
Manage WBS elements from creation to closure to ensure proper accounting
Monitor costs associated with non-colleagues using WBS elements to ensure accurate tracking
Cost Center Management
Participate in rationalization initiatives to optimize the number of cost centers utilized globally.
Verify that cost centers are accurately coded with the appropriate tax categories and market codes for tax reporting and foreign currency conversion purposes.
Balanced Scored Card Reporting
Collaborate with data providers to gather monthly results and insights into significant variations.
Update balanced scorecard dashboard with current month data.
Software Portfolio
Maintain master data for all Digital-funded software licenses maintenance and subscription agreements.
Ensure software agreements are accurately recorded according to financial policies either expensed immediately or placed on the Balance Sheet as a prepaid asset and amortized over the service period.
Reconcile software maintenance forecasts against the software portfolio to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Hardware Portfolio
Maintain master data for all Digital-funded hardware maintenance agreements.
Ensure hardware maintenance agreements are accurately recorded according to financial policies either expensed immediately or placed on the Balance Sheet as a prepaid asset and amortized over the service period.
Reconcile hardware maintenance forecasts against the hardware portfolio to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Procure to Pay Process
Monitor purchase orders to ensure they are not running out of time or funds.
Collaborate with project managers to close out purchase orders promptly preventing automatic accruals of outstanding balances.
Verify that purchase orders are correctly set up to avoid improper taxation.
Provide subject matter expertise on the proper creation of purchase orders.
Raise purchase orders on behalf of David McGettigan and his leadership team.
Basic Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in accounting or finance with 0-2 years of experience in a corporate environment performing financial activities orAssociates degree with 4 years of experience or high school diploma (or equivalent) with 6 years of relevant experience
Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

Technical Skills
Strong analytical capabilities to understand and explain financial variances
Results-driven with the ability to drive cost savings and achieve financial targets
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and effective use of other Microsoft Office products (i.e. PowerPoint Word)
Experience with Tableau is a plus
Agile in adapting to change and able to act on projects quickly

Quickly learns new skills and knowledge
Excellent oral and written communication skills

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to work on a laptop or desktop for extended periods of time.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to the Collegeville or New York offices.
Work Location Assignment:Must be able to work in assigned Pfizer office 2-3 days per week or as needed by the business

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $59900.00 to $99800.00. In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7.5% of the base salary.
