About this position:
LMCU is looking for a Marketing Designer II who will be responsible for the design and production of marketing and advertising materials that meet marketing objectives staying within Lake Michigan Credit Unions brand standards. Collaborating closely with a diverse team in the design of strategic big picture creative executions across a variety of consumer touchpoints including print TV radio social digital retail outdoor and internal branded collateral. He/she will be responsible for design art direction photo shoots and creative development from brief to final execution. Works closely with the SVP of Marketing Marketing Project Manager Project Coordinator Creative Director Art Director Account Executives Copywriters Media Buyers fellow designers and business clients to develop and deliver outstanding creative content in a deadline driven environment.
What youll do:
Bring marketing briefs to life through designing and producing marketing materials in a variety of platforms including print digital and environmental executions. Creating design mock-ups and layouts for presentations. Conceptualization and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns.
Work on the production and design needs related to in-house business lines as well as advertising campaigns. Manage a portfolio of projects to ensure they are completed on time and within scope. Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional partners within the marketing team and other LMCU internal business groups in finding creative solutions that effectively deliver results driven marketing and advertising collateral.
Adhere to Lake Michigan Credit Unions brand standards guidelines while managing the brand standards and advocating for LMCUs brand internally and externally to keep it unified across all platforms. Providing design expertise while also ensuring the business units priorities and other marketing goals are met.
Continually research credit union and financial industry data to stay current on relevant trends impacting and potentially impacting our business. Develop a competitive data base to gain a firm understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of our competitions products and services points of differentiation and of our opportunities to differentiate ourselves in the marketplace as a way to draw from develop and design impactful creative assets.
Present creative concepts in a clear articulate and persuasive manner to key stakeholders within the marketing team and across the larger organization using excellent storytelling and communication skills.
What Youll Bring: Youll like this position if you have...
Three years to five years of similar or related experience in design and/or art direction.
Bachelors degree in design art direction advertising or related field is preferred.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator Photoshop InDesign) Figma and other relevant design tools.
Strong understanding of typography color theory and design principles.
Excellent communication time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to stay updated with the latest design trends and technologies.
