About the role

Plan coordinate and control the day-to-day operations of Pool Barwithin our Luxury Hotelensuring smooth and successful operations with the highest level of customer service and a favorable projection of the Hotels superior image. Reporting to the Bars Manager you will be responsible for the efficient operation of this fast-paced luxury by example with a hands-on approach you will support and develop a team who thrive in a high-pressure environment whilst ensuring their engagement in the delivery of personalized and attentive customer service.

Critical responsibilities:

  • Welcome and acknowledge each and every guest with a smile eye contact and a friendly verbal greeting using the guests name when possible.
  • Engage guests in conversation regarding their stay property services and area attractions/offerings
  • Answer questions on menu selections.
  • Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions the length of wait recook orders and product availability.
  • Communicate with guests and other employees and ensure staff is working together as a team to ensure optimum service.
  • Exchange information with other employees using electronic devices (e.g. pagers and two-way radios email).
  • Assist management in training motivating and coaching employees; and serve as a role model.
  • Support team to reach common goals. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
  • Serve as a departmental role model or mentor by working alongside employees to perform technical or functional job duties.
  • Listen to hourly employees suggestions for improving how work is done and how guests are served gaining management support as needed to act upon suggestions.
  • Collaborate with management to formally recognize hourly employees performance contributions.
  • Assist management in establishing and communicating goals performance expectations timetables and deadlines for shift or departmental operations to hourly employees and ensure that they are understood.

Successful Candidates will have:

  • Proven ability and experience in motivate mentor and manage a small team.
  • Specialized knowledge of beverage and beverage procedures as well as methods used in the management of an F&B outlet and the production and control thereof.
  • Professional experience of 2 years running an exclusive food and beverage outlet and experience in implementing procedures and training staff.
