As a member of the Perioperative and Learning and Development team responsible for the delivery assessment and evaluation of Learning and Development programs and activities that reflect best practice standards to achieve excellence in service.
The Position
Works collaboratively with Perioperative Managers Learning and Development team and relevant stakeholders.
In collaboration with the Perioperative Manager and L&D Coordinator identifies educational needs through a variety of means (i.e. needs assessment framework) that are aligned with strategic and operational planning risk management strategy and organizational and local policy
Uses adult learning principles when facilitating learning.
Delivers assesses and evaluates local the impact of learning programs in accordance with standardized models to ensure that identified outcomes are achieved.
Provides mentoring coaching and support to caregivers through experiential learning and assists other members of the team to undertake the same.
Participate in student supervision (undergraduate and postgraduate) as directed
Collaborates with a range of health professionals to promote a multidisciplinary approach to learning.
Promotes a positive and inclusive workplace learning environment facilitating programs and activities using relevant learning model.
Assists with orientation/induction as required.
Acts as a mentor/support/role model to all caregivers promoting best practice principles
Provide evidence of completed Learning and Development activities as per the evaluation framework to the Learning and Development Coordinator to ensure record keeping requirements are met.
You will have current registration as a Health Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and have a minimum of three years experience in a perioperative nursing environment. You will demonstrate well developed interpersonal communication and mentoring/coaching skills with the ability to engage with a diverse workforce.
To succeed you will have an understanding of adult learning principles and knowledge of quality improvement and relevant Accreditation and licensing processes and associated links to learning and development programs that promote quality service delivery and safety.

The Benefits:
Salary $108867 (pro rata for part time) plus 12% superannuation
Permanent part time role working 22.8 hours per week
