This recruitment will be used to establish an eligibility list to fill two (2) vacancies in the following departments:
One (1) vacancy in the Engineering Department.
One (1) vacancy split 50/50 between the Economic Development Department and Engagement and Special Programs.

The Engineering Services Department consists of three separate sections Land Development Project Delivery and Transportation with a total of twenty-four (24) staff spanning various roles. The Engineering Services Department is looking to fill a Management Aide role to provide support to the Department as a whole. This position will report directly to the Management Analyst II and will be a key member of the Engineering Services Department Administrative Team.
ABOUT THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT:
The City of Rancho Cucamonga Economic Development Department serves as a liaison between the City and the business community. Economic Development is responsible for encouraging business investment opportunities and supporting business retention expansion and attraction activities in Rancho Cucamonga. The Economic Development Team is committed to driving the local economy advancing the economic vibrancy and sustainability of our City and enhancing quality of life for our residents and businesses.

ABOUT THE ENGAGEMENT AND SPECIAL PROGRAMS DEPARTMENT:
Under the umbrella of the City Managers Office Workgroup the newly established Engagement and Special Programs (ESP) department brings together key initiatives including the Community Affairs Network (CAN) Healthy RC Legislative Affairs Rancho Cucamonga Municipal Broadband (RC Fiber) and the Rancho Cucamonga Municipal Utility (RCMU). ESP plays a crucial role in executing City Council policy directives and managing multi-departmental programs that enhance community well-being. These efforts encompass capital improvement projects grant management community engagement communications and marketing the nationally recognized Healthy RC initiative the Public Art Placemaking Program and Legislative Advocacy. Serving as a hub for collaboration ESP engages with residents government agencies and internal City departments to foster partnerships address diverse needs and drive impactful initiatives that strengthen the Rancho Cucamonga community.
Youll be responsible for:
Education and/or Experience:
Any combination of education and/or experience that has provided the knowledge skills and abilities necessary for satisfactory job performance. Example combinations include five years of increasingly responsible clerical technical and routine administrative experience related to the responsibilities of the assigned position including or supplemented by college-level training in public administration accounting data processing or a related field.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Working knowledge of methods and techniques of research statistical analysis and report preparation; methods and procedures of budget preparation; organization and functions of the assigned municipal department; general office procedures. Ability to perform specialized technical and routine administrative tasks; key data and operate a computer terminal in performance of assigned tasks; conduct research perform analysis and prepare reports of findings; interpret and apply related laws ordinances and regulations; work independently; understand and follow verbal and written directions; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships; communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Special Requirements:
Depending upon assignment possession of or ability to obtain an appropriate California drivers license and a satisfactory driving record may be required.
