Position Summary:
The Executive Director of Software Engineering will be responsible for our Restaurants engineering teams (i.e. Point of Sale eCommerce back office etc) ensuring the successful execution of projects and the continuous improvement of engineering processes and operations. This role requires strategic thinking strong leadership and a deep understanding of engineering principles.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Lead and mentor the engineering teams fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Develop and implement engineering strategies aligned with the companys vision.
- Oversee project planning execution and delivery ensuring quality budget and timeline adherence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with business goals.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the department.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Manage the engineering budget resources and staffing.
- Promote a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Recruit retain and develop high-performing talent.
- Effectively communicate up down and across the organization.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors or masters degree in software engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role managing other managers
- 10 years in software development leading teams in SaaS-based solutions
- Strong technical background in specific engineering discipline e.g. software mechanical electrical.
- Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of driving innovation.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Good understanding of Restaurant industry domain
- GCP and Azure Cloud experience
- Experience in C C# React TypeScript Angular Android Java Docker Kubernetes
- Passion for continuous learning and can keep up with industry trends
- Ability to effectively communicate with our customers
