Job Description

SCOPE OF POSITION: The Residential Sales Territory Manager is responsible for driving sales growth maintaining strong customer relationships and increasing market share for HVAC products and services within a defined territory. This role focuses on building relationships with contractors and dealers to promote the companys residential HVAC solutions. The ideal candidate has strong industry knowledge excellent sales acumen and a passion for helping customers find the right HVAC solutions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Manage and grow HVAC residential product sales within the assigned territory.
  • Assisting assigned accounts with business planning product training sales tools and participation in TSI and supplier programs.
  • Develop strong relationships with residential contractors dealers and distributors vendors.
  • Identify new business opportunities and proactively pursue leads and referrals.
  • Conduct regular territory visits sales calls and product presentations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (inside sales marketing service purchasing) to support customer needs.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to drive strategic planning and forecasting.
  • Monitor competitor activities and provide market intelligence.
  • Attend local trade shows dealer meetings and networking events as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and prepare sales reports regularly.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
  • Bachelors degree in business Marketing or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 35 years of B2B sales experience preferably in the HVAC construction or building materials industries.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and industry trends is highly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of the companys sales function related services and product lines.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective client relationships.
  • Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in CRM software (e.g. Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • May involve occasional lifting of HVAC product samples or materials (up to 25 lbs).
  • Work from home and field-based; occasional office or team meetings required.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
