Senior Contract SpecialistWhat does a successful Senior Contract Specialist do
A Senior Contract Specialist ensures that colleagues and clients receive responsive diligent and skilled contracting support for a wide variety of transactions and deals. You will impact both client satisfaction and help Fiserv reach our financial targets by preparing drafting and negotiating transaction documents and managing deals. You will gain product knowledge company knowledge and problem-solving skills. This role will give you the experience and exposure to grow personally and professionally through an opportunity to work with a dedicated team of legal professionals.
What you will do:
- Prepare initial drafts of agreements based upon contracting standards and unique deal terms and requests
- Review client redlines comments and issues and suggest alternative language or responses
- Draft language often based upon contracting standards and clause banks while applying Fiservs standard legal and business positions in drafting and negotiation
- Manage form contract templates and ensure final copies of agreements/documents are saved and stored properly
- Respond to contractual questions from clients (both internal and external)
- Provide contract interpretation to internal clients as needed as well as provide input into contracting strategy
- Collect information feedback and approvals from deal stakeholders (e.g. finance operations security product etc.) during the contracting process
- Participate in substantive negotiations and business calls
What you will need to have:
- Bachelors Degree or 3 years of relevant contract or legal experience
- 3 years of experience in drafting and negotiating various technology contracts including software licenses and SaaS agreements
- Experience in contract management and template maintenance
- Experience in managing deal stakeholder communications and approvals
- Experience in identifying and escalating potential risks
What would be great to have:
- Experience in negotiating complex business transactions
- Experience in contract interpretation and strategic input
- Experience working with client relationship managers and sales executives
- Experience providing contract support in a technology or FinTech environment
Important information about this role:
- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
- This is a full-time direct-hire position and no contract options for unsolicited agency submissions will be considered.
