Job Overview:
We are hiring a dynamic and results-driven Sales Head / Assistant Manager to join a leading logistics company with PAN-India presence and a strong global transport and logistics network. The company specializes in end-to-end supply chain solutions including freight forwarding (Air & Sea) customs clearance warehousing domestic transportation and value-added logistics services.
This role is focused exclusively on sales and business development with core responsibilities including new client acquisition key account management and driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships in the logistics and supply chain domain.
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive business development for Air & Sea freight across various industry verticals.
- Build a strong sales pipeline by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients by understanding their logistics needs and offering customized cost-effective solutions.
- Conduct regular client meetings to identify cross-selling opportunities and increase wallet share.
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations customer service finance) to ensure smooth and client satisfaction.
- Ensure timely billing and proactively follow up on collections and outstanding payments.
- Act as the key point of contact for client escalations ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Coordinate with overseas offices to support international business opportunities and key accounts.
- Promote additional services such as customs clearance warehousing and transportation.
- Prepare and present business reviews and reports to both clients and internal stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
- Graduate or MBA in Business Logistics or Supply Chain from a reputed institution or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of proven experience in lead generation or sales support in a freight forwarding or logistics industry (Air & Sea) mandatory.
- Strong track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Deep understanding of logistics solutions international trade and freight operations.
- Experience in managing clients in Pharma Engineering FMCG Consumer Goods or Retail sectors.
- Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Self-driven strategic thinker with a customer-first mindset.
- Familiarity with value-added logistics services like customs clearance warehousing and last- mile delivery is a plus.
