Job Purpose
- Support the delivery of a high-quality clinical lead occupational health service for the council and island schools.
- Promote and maintain a good health and wellbeing climate within the workplace.
Job Context
- Develop and implement occupational health policies and practices aligned with organizational needs.
- Manage occupational health referrals and provide advice to managers on interventions and adjustments to support health conditions in the workplace.
- Provide specialist occupational health advice on general medical matters within the employment sphere.
- Prepare reports maintain accurate health records and attend meetings to provide expert advice on occupational health matters.
- Coordinate and deliver health surveillance and immunisation programs within the workplace.
- Design and deliver promotions presentations and training sessions on employee health and wellbeing.
- Maintain professional development in line with Nursing and Midwifery Council requirements.
- This role may involve a hybrid of in-person and remote working with approximately 15 hours per week potentially more during peak workloads.
Requirements
- Nursing and Midwifery Council registration
- Experience in occupational health
- Knowledge of occupational health policies and practices
- Strong communication and organizational skills
