Job Description

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals Nursing Homes Home care and Community care.

We are Hiring an Director Of Nursing for a leading Nursing Home in Co Laois Ireland.

Responsibilities
  • To oversee every aspect of the service in order to guarantee consistently high resident care standards.
  • To offer assistance counsel and direction to the Home through an on-call schedule.
  • Work with CNMs and the deputy home manager or managers to plan and oversee the on-call schedule.
  • To provide an example and serve as a model for staff to focus on resident care by encouraging a person-centered approach that is rooted in the nursing homes philosophy and values.
  • Participate in the hiring screening onboarding training and oversight of all new employees.
  • To oversee and assist all department leaders including those in charge of nursing housekeeping maintenance and catering.
  • Provide workers with round-the-clock training and assistance to guarantee adherence to policies and procedures. Some nighttime monitoring visits will be part of this.


Requirements

  • Three years or more of experience in a senior nurse management role in a care facility.
  • Healthcare or a similar industry post-registration management qualification (ideally level 9)
  • Present NMBI registration
  • Demonstrated ability to lead clinical teams effectively and adhere to HIQA standards
  • Strong familiarity with pertinent legislation requirements and HIQA standards.
  • Strong organizational people-management and planning abilities.
  • Outstanding organizational leadership and communication abilities.
