Job Description
As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will be the go-to expert for advanced technical escalations AWS infrastructure support SQL/reporting queries and backend investigation. You ll collaborate closely with dev and ops teams to reduce operational friction and drive smarter system resolutions.

Shift: Monday to Friday 07:00 AM 04:00 PM (Day Shift)
Work setup: Permanent Work from Home Malaysia
Your Daily Tasks
Technical Escalation & Support
- Act as the primary escalation point for advanced technical issues passed from Customer Success IT or internal users.
- Investigate and resolve issues involving application behaviour infrastructure performance or data inconsistencies.
- Handle second-level support for the Loop application escalating to Dev only when required - with full technical context attached.
Infrastructure & Application Debug Support
- Support investigation of issues across our AWS infrastructure (ECS EC2 RDS CloudWatch DataDog etc.).
- Run ad-hoc reports diagnose backend performance issues and perform light scripting/debugging as needed.
- Collaborate with developers to identify root causes and determine ownership (infra vs app vs data).
Data & Reporting
- Write maintain and optimise SQL queries for operations and customer success needs.
- Create temporary diagnostic reports or data extracts to help troubleshoot business-critical issues.
Cross-Functional Glue
- Translate technical issues and findings into actionable dev tickets when needed.
- Fill in during Dev Project Manager absences - assist with writing ACs triaging backlog prepping sprint tickets.
- Attend standups incident reviews and sprint ceremonies as a technical ops contributor.

Technical Requirements
- Solid working knowledge of AWS (ECS EC2 RDS S3 IAM VPC etc.)
- Strong SQL skills: writing queries performance tuning basic reporting
- Comfortable reading/debugging code in C# (.NET Core) and React/TypeScript
- Understanding of REST APIs HTTP debugging logs and monitoring tools like CloudWatch & DataDog
- Familiar with basic networking and infrastructure debugging
Professional Background
- 5 years in a technical support DevOps-lite infrastructure or application support role
- Proven cross-functional collaboration with support ops and dev teams
- Hands-on experience with owning and resolving production issues
Soft Skills
- Strong communicator with ability to bridge tech and non-tech stakeholders
- Highly organized and adaptable in shifting priorities
- Proactive mindset with a strong bias toward action
Nice to Have
- Experience in SaaS ConstructionTech or field-based platforms
- Familiarity with Agile tools (Jira Azure DevOps GitHub Projects)
- AWS certifications (SysOps Admin Solutions Architect)
