Job Description
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Contract Specialist III. This is a unique opportunity to make an impact on a global scale and contribute to our mission of enabling our customers to make the world healthier cleaner and safer. As a Contract Specialist III you will play a crucial role in supporting the Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) within Thermo Fisher Scientific.
Responsibilities:
- Review negotiate and administer commercial and government-related contracts on behalf of assigned CAD business units in accordance with corporate and departmental policies and procedures including without limitation price updates audits reports and payments.
- Provide contract guidance to key internal stakeholders for legal financial regulatory and other business concerns identifying areas of risk
- Support the development and submission of RFP RFQ and RFI responses.
- Ensure appropriate compliance reviews are completed including but not limited to import/export regulations and country of origin certificates
- Resolve and document customer issues in a timely manner.
- Support and participate in process improvement projects to drive operational efficiencies and standardization such as establishing templates standardizing playbooks process updates etc.
- Manage and provide certificates of insurance requests.
- Maintain contracts team intranet resource site.
- Manage the general mailbox and assignments
- Support and assist the contracts team with contract administration activities as needed.
- Data entry and other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A bachelors degree or equivalent experience along with relevant formal academic/vocational qualification.
- 3 years of government or commercial contracts experience including contract negotiations contract closeout and pre and post RFP activities.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to cultivate strong relationships internally and externally as applicable.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage constantly evolving priorities.
- Highly attentive individual with a customer-centric approach sound judgment work ethic and professional integrity and a keen eye for detail.
- Advanced MS Office or Office 365 skills. Salesforce experience is a plus.
- IACCM or NCMA certifications are a plus
