Metallurgical Complex (Primarily Smelter) Columbus MT
Schedule:
Rotating - 5x4x4x5
Day Shift: 6:00am 6:00pm
Night Shift: 6:00pm 6:00am
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Install troubleshoot and repair high medium and low voltage circuits in an industrial environment.
- Perform work on A/C and D/C motors and motor control systems.
- Install calibrate and maintain electronic instrumentation/controls systems and detectors.
- Maintain PLCs and Distributive Control Systems.
- Provide process instrumentation and electrical instruction to E & I 1 and Electrician 2.
- Primary work location is in smelter with other areas in MET Complex as work compels.
Qualifications and Skills:
Required:
- Electrical and instrumentation/controls maintenance experience.
- Electrical and instrumentation/controls troubleshooting experience.
- Computer skills - understand general operation of computers and Microsoft Office products (Word Excel etc.) with a detailed knowledge of data logging spreadsheet instrumentation and control software.
- Detailed working knowledge of general electrical processes and procedures such as NEC interpret electrical and instrumentation. Have a detailed knowledge of prints P&IDs smart instrumentation etc.
- Working knowledge of motors variable speed drives and their programming.
- Ability to communicate train and work well with others.
- 3-5 years process electrical maintenance work environment.
- 2 or more years process instrumentation work environment.
Preferred:
- Associate degree or better in Electrical and Instrumentation.
- Independent work habits.
- Journeyman/Masters state license.
