The National Security Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Senior Information Assurance Specialist to work at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency in Fort Belvoir Virginia. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Environmental Data Enterprise mission. In this mission we provide environmental data to DoD and partner agencies in support of Counter-Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) consequence assessment modeling activities. We maintain systems on unclassified and classified networks in support of 24/7/365 operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility is the execution of the security authorization and compliance processes for all DTRA Weather IT systems.
- Ensures the DOD Risk Management Framework (RMF) is properly applied to all applicable systems.
- Responsible for planning implementation analysis and auditing of information security policies and procedures safeguards. These safeguards are applied to confidentiality integrity and availability of and access to DTRA systems and electronic information to guard information against accidental or unauthorized modification destruction or disclosure.
- Ensures organization meets compliance with DISA Score
- Card and risk management requirements. Additionally the primary security advisor to the system Program Manager (PM) regarding all IT Security related matters.
- Identifies areas where information security policies and procedures require creation or update and works collaboratively with the System Architect to develop and implement these policies/procedures.
- Develops guidance and conducts training to enhance organizational awareness with security authorization processes.
- Confers with PM and DTRA resource owners developers auditors facilities and other personnel to identify and plan for RMF implementation of security for data software applications hardware telecommunications and computer installations.
- Works collaboratively with these personnel to ensure that plans and policies are properly implemented and executed.
- Provides risk assessments and security briefings related to critical security issues to the PM and DTRA resource owner.
- Remediates and enhances security controls at the direction of the PM and DTRA resource owner.
- Provides and supports IT security awareness programs.
- Provides advice to the PM and DTRA resource owner on the formation of appropriate security policies.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in cyber security or related field with 8 years of applicable experience Masters Degree with 6 years experience or 12 years of experience in lieu of degree.
- US Citizen with at least a TS/SCI security clearance.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ACAS RMF and DoD STIG requirements.
- Experience with IA compliance on DoD IT Networks/DISA.
- Cyber Security management certification such as CISSP CISM

Pay Range $104650.00 - $189175.00
