The compliance analyst is responsible for participating in the various audits done within the different business divisions within Arch. The analyst will also be assisting the compliance team in doing various administrative tasks including but not limited to research data analysis information tracking excel tools creation/maintenance and reports creation.
- Compliance Audits:
- Assist in the preparation of compliance audits in collaboration with the Corporate Underwriting Audit team covering core business functions such as Underwriting Claims Handling and Processing Policy Issuance Rate and Rule Filings Producer Licensing and related functions.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of a compliance audit calendar ensuring proactive planning meeting key deadlines and timely submission of audit documentation.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of compliance audit tools and standardized templates.
- Perform data integrity reviews on selected policy files to confirm compliance with state regulations.
- Identify and track inconsistencies in processes and procedures as well as instances of non-compliance with state and company guidelines. Additionally highlight patterns and trends for recurring issues.
- Assist in drafting findings and related remediation efforts for inclusion in the final audit report.
- Organize and maintain a centralized repository for audit correspondence responses remediation plans and supporting documentation.
- Participate in post-audit work which may include but is not limited to:
- Monitoring implementation of recommended remediation plans
- Documenting lessons learned to support continuous improvement efforts within each business unit and programs.
- Other compliance audit duties include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with ad-hoc regulatory matters outside of scheduled audits such as corrective action plans resulting from Market Conduct Examinations

- Creation/Maintenance of tools utilizing excel functions/formulas/VBA.
- Analyze/translate/summarize information within state regulations and statutes into a more simplified statement.
- Analyze information in ISO NCCI and independent bureau circulars.
- Maintain and update various databases on Sharepoint.
- Extract and organize various reports from Sharepoint.
- Upload documents and filing approvals to ImageRight.
- Submit state filing via System for Electronic Rate and Form Filings (SERFF).
- Gather information and supporting documents required for state filings.
- Tracks approvals of state filings utilizing SharePoint.
- Process vendor invoices.
- Add and update users and producer information in Oden Policy Terminator.
- Interpret data analyze results and provide ongoing task or project reports.
- Develop and implement strategies that optimize efficiency and quality.
Qualifications :
- Working knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance
- Insurance policy premium rating experience.
- Knowledge in navigating and finding needed information within ISOnet ISO commercial lines manual APCIA and NILS.
- Knowledge and actual experience using ODEN online and the ODEN Policy Terminator.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect organize analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (Excel)
- Knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc.) ad databases (SQL Sharepoint etc.)
- Adept at queries report writing and presenting findings
