We are seeking a confident and capable Credit Controller to join our Accounts Receivable team part of the wider Finance Shared Transaction Centre.
In this role you will need to demonstrate customer first approach with excellent communications and customer service skills. The ability to effectively prioritise across a high-volume portfolio with excellent attention to detail and organisation are essential. Having strong problem solving and relationship building skills will also be essential as well as a well-developed sense of initiative and the ability to work independently.
In this varied role you will be working as one of our four Credit Controllers to manage the credit and collection function within New Zealand legislation and the University Credit Management policy and procedures.
You will pursue ways to improve processes as well as uphold strong relationships with stakeholders and external funders. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys engaging with customers and builds strong relationship with the ability to resolve customer issues and takes pride in meeting targets.
This is a fulltime (37.5 hours per week) 1 - year fixed term role with a salary range of $73000 - $77800 depending on experience.

The Shared Transaction Centre (Accounts Payable and Receivable) provides a platform that enables the University to move toward best practice for financial processing administration efficiency and improve service delivery across the organisation. It utilises the best use of resources systems skills and expertise (economies of scale and skill). It supports development of a service user ethos and improves user-facing services.

You are proactive confident and professional with experience working in a large complex organisation. You enjoy working to tight deadlines with a highly varied customer group and you are up to date with current credit management processes.
Having at least five years credit control and account receivable experience is essential and you need to be familiar with relative New Zealand legislation and statutory requirements. You will bring to the role your excellent customer relationship management experience and intermediate excel skills.
