What Youll Do
- Assist in developing and maintaining data pipelines to support business reporting and analytics needs.
- Work with ETL/ELT processes to clean transform and move data between systems reliably and efficiently.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure data accuracy and integrity across various sources.
- Help monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines using tools like Datadog or other monitoring solutions.
- Support data quality efforts by identifying anomalies and contributing to regular data audits.
- Contribute to the implementation and support of modern data architectures including data lakes and cloud data warehouses.
- Write clear documentation for data processes pipeline logic and data definitions.
- Learn and apply best practices in data security scalability and performance.
- Use version control and CI/CD tools (e.g. Git GitHub Actions) to support data pipeline development and deployments.
What Were Looking For
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Systems or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 13 years of experience in a data engineering analytics or related role.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience writing queries for reporting or data analysis.
- Some experience with at least one programming language (e.g. Python JavaScript or TypeScript).
- Familiarity with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL MySQL) and basic understanding of data warehousing concepts.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and interest in learning cloud-based data services like S3 Redshift or Glue.
- Interest or basic experience with ETL/ELT tools (e.g. Airflow dbt Talend).
- Understanding of version control systems (e.g. Git) and eagerness to learn DevOps practices.
