About the Opportunity

Avenues Australia is offering a full-time traineeship opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with strong organisational skills and a natural talent for IT. This entry-level role supports internal operations in administration IT systems and digital engagement within a not-for-profit human services organisation.

About Avenues Australia
Avenues Australia provides navigation and administrative services for individuals accessing the NDIS and My Aged Care including those with complex needs across disability mental health and aged care.

Role Overview
The trainee will work under supervision to:

  • Respond to inquiries via phone and email
  • Maintain accurate client and employee records
  • Support reporting scheduling and document preparation
  • Provide basic IT assistance (Microsoft 365 Teams office equipment)
  • Learn automation tools to streamline processes
  • Assist with website updates and social media scheduling
  • Support recruitment activities onboarding tasks and file management
  • Help with document preparation for client plan reviews and funding submissions

This is a learning-focused role designed to build practical skills and confidence in a supportive team environment.

Candidate Requirements

  • Interest in administration IT and digital communication
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Currently undertaking or intending to enrol in a Cert IV in Business Administration Information Technology or Digital Media
  • Commitment to confidentiality and data protection practices
  • Willingness to learn about the NDIS mental health and aged care sectors

Employment Conditions

  • Full-time
  • SCHADS Award Level 1.1 1.3
  • Fixed-term 24-month contract with possible extension
  • Location: Perth WA
  • Line Management: Reports to CEO
