The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company seeks an External Web Content Strategy Manager to be based in Seattle WA Chicago IL Hazelwood MO or Berkeley MO. This role will lead the development and management of an integrated news and stories strategy on and its global properties significantly enhancing Boeings digital presence and engagement.
The successful candidate will collaborate with Creative and Digital Media Relations Corporate and Employee Communications and related teams to streamline storytelling across and its connections with external partners and platforms. Additional responsibilities include creating a sustainable approach for updating key site sections using data analytics to drive performance growth. This position is crucial in improving user experience through modern design enhanced navigation global variations translations and proactive maintenance of core site content.
Position Responsibilities:
Platform Development and Management:
Develops a modern user-friendly and integrated Boeing News and Stories platform on external in coordination with stakeholder teams
Centralizes all news and stories content to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive user experience
Enhances user experience with modern design and improved navigation
Facilitates global variations and translations to cater to a diverse international audience
Identifies and integrates a robust content management system (e.g. Adobe Experience Manager)
Maintains the ability to automatically distribute select statements and releases to news wires
Content Strategy and Management:
Develops and implements a strategic proactive content plan for external web that aligns with Boeings overall communication goals
Curates and facilitates creation of key stories on a daily weekly and monthly basis involving relevant stakeholders
Evaluates and consolidates content management systems to offer flexibility scalability and ease of use for content creators and managers
Global Coordination and Localization:
Coordinates with global teams to ensure content is available in multiple languages and tailored to local markets
Manages the balance between local vs. global content ensuring relevance and engagement across different regions
Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
Monitors platform performance and user engagement using analytics to establish benchmarks performance targets and drive continuous improvement
Implements best practices for SEO accessibility and user experience to maximize reach and impact
Proactive Content Maintenance:
Develops and implements a sustainable approach for regularly updating key sections of
Establishes a content review schedule to ensure all information remains current accurate and aligned with Boeings strategic objectives
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Works closely with business unit leaders and enterprise priority teams to gather and incorporate relevant updates and new content
Facilitates regular meetings with stakeholders to discuss upcoming changes content needs and strategic priorities
Crisis and Issue Management:
Establishes protocols for quickly updating and maintaining key sections of during crises or significant events
Coordinates with crisis communication teams to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelors degree or higher in Communications Marketing Digital Media or a related field
5 years of experience in digital content strategy or web management with a proven track record of managing large-scale organizational change projects
Hands-on experience with content management systems specifically Adobe Experience Manager including site architecture and workflow management
Strong writing and editing skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to adapt content for diverse audiences
Excellent verbal communication and presentation abilities capable of conveying complex ideas to stakeholders at all levels
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience in developing and executing global content strategies including localization and translation for international markets
Proficiency in project management software (Workfront Asana etc)
Demonstrated experience with SEO best practices and analytics tools including Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics to drive data-informed decisions
