Class Summary



Job Description
The Program Leader will design develop plan and implement health and human services programs. In addition this position will be responsible for assisting with marketing assigned programs by speaking at events distributing flyers and writing newsletters. This incumbent will develop goals objectives and evaluate criteria for health and human services programs and communicate program goals successes and challenges to stake holders.

Essential Duties
  • Coordinate outreach efforts to engage target populations
  • Design develop plan and implement community health or social service programs.
  • Set measurable goals and objectives to measure program success
  • Assist residents with questions and concerns regarding programs and provide resources and referrals
  • Maintain records and other documentation regarding daily program activities and operations such as class registration attendance records deposits and financial reports
  • Process registrations assessments and financial transactions
  • Work closely with other departments and community partners
Public Speaking Duties
  • Speak at community meetings to raise awareness about program services
  • Educate the public on available resources provide information about classes and programs
  • Promote and encourage community participation
Other Job Requirements/Information
  • This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours weekends and/or holidays.
Grade
The grade for this position isgrade. Salary will be dependent on education and experience.

Effective 4/11/2023 this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associates degree in Parks and Recreation Health and Human Services Senior Services or a related field AND
  • one year of experience
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
  • Valid Drivers License
  • CPR within 6 months of employment
  • First Aid Certification within 6 months of employment
