Job Description
Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer with a strong foundation in Cisco networking technologies and a solid background in network security to support one of our partners. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining a secure and efficient network infrastructure across the organization including both corporate and job site environments. This role requires hands-on experience with Cisco hardware and software a thorough understanding of networking best practices and the ability to collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure the integrity and performance of our networks. This is a direct hire position located onsite in Barrington IL.
Qualifications
- Must have bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Must have 3-5 years of experience as a Network Engineer in Cisco-based environments
- Must have experience with VPN technologies firewall policies and intrusion prevention systems
- In-depth knowledge of Cisco networking technologies including routing switching wireless and firewalls
- Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco ASA Firepower and Meraki devices
- Strong understanding of network security concepts (e.g. ACLs segmentation VPN IDS/IPS)
- Familiarity with security standards and frameworks (e.g. NIST ISO)
- Proficient with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds PRTG or Cisco DNA Center
- Preferred Certifications: CCNA CCNP CCIE CISSP or CompTIA A
- Excellent troubleshooting problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The candidate must have a car as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
- A valid drivers license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
- Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- Must demonstrate a can-do attitude

Compensation Range: $800000/Yr - $120000/Yr
